REJUVENIQE® is a versatile oil for hair and skin. Its effect and application differ depending on whether you use it before washing, as an intensive treatment, in dry ends, or on face and body. One thing first: whether the result is cared for or greasy is almost always decided by the amount, especially with fine hair. A few drops are enough, more is rarely needed.
What is REJUVENIQE® Oil Intensive?
REJUVENIQE® Oil Intensive is MONAT's plant-based signature oil, a blend of more than a dozen botanical and essential oils. It is deliberately composed to be light, feels feather-light, sinks in quickly, and leaves a silky, non-greasy finish.
The right expectation matters. REJUVENIQE® is a care and finish oil, not a repair product. It wraps the hair in a wafer-thin film, lays down lifted scales, and makes the surface look smoother. From that follows what you can realistically see and feel: more shine, less frizz, a suppler feel, and a well-groomed fall. Repairing structural damage from the inside or changing hair growth is something an oil cannot do, it improves the look and feel of the existing lengths.
Because essential oils and fragrance components are included, REJUVENIQE® has a distinct scent of its own. For most people that is pleasant; for sensitive skin it is a point worth knowing (more on that below).
Use in the hair with exact leave-on times
REJUVENIQE® can be used in the hair in four proven ways. The leave-on times are not a detail, they decide the result:
Pre-shampoo treatment (15 minutes). Spread three to four drops through lengths and ends, work a little into the scalp if needed, and let the oil work for about 15 minutes. Then wash out mildly as usual. That way the oil film protects the fibre during washing without weighing it down.
Intensive warm-towel treatment (30 minutes). For drier lengths: spread the oil, wrap a warm towel around your head, and let it work for about 30 minutes. The gentle warmth makes the treatment more intensive. Then wash out as well.
Finish on the dry ends. As a finishing touch, put one to two drops into towel-dried or dry hair, lengths and ends only, never the roots. This tames flyaways and gives shine. How to fine-tune technique and amount is shown in the guide using hair oil properly.
Mixed into conditioner or mask. A few drops added to the weekly care lift its suppleness feel. Handy when you want to give your mask more richness for once without applying an extra product.
Leaving it on overnight is possible but not a requirement. The 15- or 30-minute version already delivers a visible result.
Face and body
REJUVENIQE® is not only meant for the hair. On the skin it can be used as a light oil: one to two drops as a finish on the face or décolleté, gently on dry spots at the elbows, knees, or shins, or massaged into the cuticles. The skin looks suppler afterwards and feels softer.
Mixing is also very popular: a few drops added to body or face cream, or even into liquid foundation, give a richer feel and a light glow. How much, by use
Too much oil is the most common mistake and the most expensive one: the hair looks stringy and the bottle empties faster without the result getting better. These amounts are starting points to work from, and to adjust downwards.

Always start with less and top up if you need to. Too little takes ten seconds to fix; too much costs you a whole wash.
How much do you need?
With REJUVENIQE®, almost always: less is more. The right amount depends on hair thickness.
- Fine or quickly oily hair: one to two drops, on the ends only. Too much sits heavy and makes the roots look flat.
- Medium hair: two to three drops in lengths and ends.
- Thick, curly, or very dry hair: three to four drops, also good as a treatment before the wash.
Better to start with less and add a drop if needed, adding is easy, washing out is a chore. Rub the oil between your palms before putting it in the hair, so it spreads evenly. With dry hair the order is crucial: moisture first, then oil to seal.
Who should be careful?
REJUVENIQE® is well tolerated but not automatically the right choice for every skin and every scalp. Caution makes sense with:
- sensitive or reaction-prone skin, the content of essential oils and fragrances can irritate. A test in the crook of the elbow before the first use on the face is advisable.
- known fragrance allergies, then better to avoid it or clear it up with a doctor.
- very sensitive or irritated scalp, an oil with an intense scent profile is not blanket-suitable here, choose application in the lengths rather than at the roots.

Oil, serum, or leave-in?
REJUVENIQE® is often confused with two other leave-in products. They have different jobs and complement each other:
- REJUVENIQE® Oil Intensive is a pure oil. It seals, gives shine, and tames frizz, the last step, sparingly on the ends.
- Double-Action Hydrating Serum is a light, more moisture-focused serum. It feels less oily and suits anyone who wants to care without applying a real oil.
- Restore™ Leave-In Conditioner is a caring leave-in cream that detangles, smooths, and adds moisture, ideal as a base right after washing.
Combined, a clear order emerges: first the moisture (leave-in or serum), then the oil to seal at the end. That way the products work together instead of blocking each other.
Quick questions
How long should REJUVENIQE be left on?
As a pre-shampoo treatment about 15 minutes, with a warm towel about 30 minutes. As a finish on dry ends it simply stays in the hair, there is no leave-on time here. Overnight is possible but not necessary.
Can I put it on the scalp?
With the pre-shampoo treatment yes, in a small amount, after which it is washed out. In the finish it belongs only in the lengths and ends, not at the roots. With a sensitive scalp, better to leave it off entirely.
Is it suitable for fine hair?
Yes, as long as you dose sparingly: one to two drops, only on the ends. Too much weighs down fine hair and makes it look flat.
Can it serve as a heat protectant?
No. REJUVENIQE® is not a heat protectant and does not replace one. Before a blow-dryer, flat iron, or curling wand a real heat protection product belongs in the hair, more on that in the guide heat protection for hair.
How many drops of REJUVENIQE oil do I need?
Fine hair: one to two drops on the ends only. Medium hair: two to three through lengths and ends. Thick or very dry hair: three to four. Always warm them between your palms and add one drop more rather than too much at once.
Does oil on the scalp clog the follicles?
With normal use and regular washing, that is not to be expected. What does happen is a film of oil and sebum when too much is applied and washing is too rare. Applying sparingly and rinsing thoroughly solves it.
How do I get too much oil back out?
Put shampoo onto dry or only slightly dampened roots and add water afterwards: that way the surfactant meets the oil directly instead of being diluted first. A second short wash is usually enough.
