What being a Glow Tribe consultant is actually like: learn hair science, guide others, set your own hours. Clear answers, no promises, no stock required.
What you actually do as a consultant
Not "selling products". The work is mostly advising: listening, assessing the hair, proposing a routine, following up on whether it works.
Read and answer hair analyses
Inquiries arrive through the free hair analysis. You see the answers, propose a routine and write back, usually on WhatsApp, usually a few minutes per person.
Follow up once the routine is running
After four to six weeks, ask whether anything changed and adjust. This is the part that goes beyond one-off purchases, and the part most people underestimate.
Keep learning yourself
Scalp, porosity, ingredients, what cosmetics can and cannot do. You get training material and your sponsor alongside you, but the learning is yours to do.
Be visible, in the way that suits you
Some work through Instagram, some only through friends, some through appointments at home. There is no mandatory format, but if nobody knows you do this, nothing happens.
What starting costs and takes
No stock, no minimum orders
You don't buy inventory and you don't have to order monthly to stay active. Orders go directly from the customer to MONAT.
A starter kit priced by MONAT
There is a starter kit with products to try and to show. MONAT sets its price and contents and both change with promotions, so we quote no number here; your sponsor shows you the current one before you decide.
Realistically a few hours a week
Most of the tribe do this alongside a job or family. Little time means slower, not impossible, but no time means no result, and we'd rather tell you that up front.
You can stop at any time
There is no minimum term and no notice period with us. If it doesn't fit, you stop, without anybody making you feel guilty.
What we do not promise you
If you're reading this, you're weighing it up. So you should hear the other side too, from us, not afterwards.
- No guaranteed income and no figures from us. You earn commission on referred sales: how much depends entirely on how many people you advise and whether they stay. The only binding figures are in MONAT's official Income Disclosure Statement.
- It is not passive income. In weeks where you do nothing, nothing happens. If you're looking for "earning while I sleep", you'll be disappointed here.
- Not everyone enjoys it. Approaching people, including your own circle, is easy for some and hard for others. You only find out by doing it, and stopping is completely fine.
- It is self-employment. You are not an employee: registration, taxes and social insurance are yours to handle, and the rules differ per country. Clarify this with a tax adviser before you start; we may not and will not assess it for you.

MONAT is direct selling: is that legitimate?
Yes. MONAT sells its products through referral marketing via independent consultants instead of retail. For you as a customer that means personal advice and a fixed contact person. You can buy as a retail customer without a subscription; the VIP (Flexship) programme is optional and follows the current official MONAT terms.
How do I become a Glow Tribe consultant myself?

Do I have to stock products as a consultant?
No. Orders ship directly from MONAT to the customer, so you don't need your own stock and there are no minimum purchases. What you invest is mainly time and heart.
Can I really earn money as a consultant?
You earn commission on referred product sales, a flexible additional income alongside your job or family. One thing we won't over-promise: the amount depends on your effort and is not guaranteed. Binding figures are in MONAT's official Income Disclosure, which your sponsor shows you before you start.
How much time does it take per week as a consultant?
That's up to you. Many in the tribe start with a few hours a week alongside their job or family, in the evenings or at weekends. Realistically, the more time and heart you put in, the more happens. There are no required hours.
Are there minimum orders or purchase obligations for consultants?
No. Your customers order directly from MONAT and get the products delivered to their door, so you don't build up stock and there are no minimum purchases. Legitimate direct selling lives on real product sales, not on consultants' full shelves.
